Take a look at the bottom of the Octopax soccer shoe and its aquatic inspiration will be immediately obvious. Like the suckers and tentacles of an octopus, the outsole of this shoe utilizes air pockets and spaced grips to tear into the ground, providing maximum traction and enhancing maneuverability on the field.Designer: Tobin Dorn---------- Yanko Design Timeless Designs - Explore wonderful concepts from around the world! Eduard Gray’s high-performance 38m yacht concept is so sexy it will leave you drooling for more. Impeccable exterior styling is characterized by dramatic curves met with sharp edges that come together in symmetrical perfection. As if the yacht weren’t enough, it even comes with it’s own matching super sports car that fits snugly within the stern garage (yes, I said garage). You’ve got to see this bad boy, so hit the jump! What’s under the hood? Just a little twin-tu

Abdul Vahid V: Apple MacBook Air notebooks are ultra thin notebooks, which require some brilliant accessories, indeed. This is what the Cupertino-based designer Kitae Kwon has managed to develop with a superb docking station. What Kwon calls LandingZone is an amazing docking station for both the versions of MacBook Airs – 11-inch and 13-inch. Of course, the docking station is as perfect and elegant as the Apple notebooks. Salon Furniture Collection by Lee Broom

At the London Design Festival in September 2011, award-winning British designer Lee Broom launched his fifth collection. His dramatic debut upholstery collection is called ‘Salon’ and is inspired by the curvaceous lines of 1930s upholstery. The new collection features soft silhouettes contrasted and accentuated with modern stud detailing for a hint of fashion fetishism. Whilst studding is traditionally used in upholstery to hide elements of the manufacturing process, Broom has chosen to fo

Serene Apartment Invaded by Color in Madrid

Posted by freshome 499 days ago (Editorial)

This colorful apartment in Madrid, Spain, inspires peaceful living and an overall feeling of playfulness. The crib found on Micasa was especially designed for a young couple with a child, who moved to New York in order to build their careers. The couple only uses this place as a refuge, when they return to Spain. And what a relaxing environment it offers! As this is just a holiday home, no large amount of storage space was needed. Just two bedrooms, a bathroom and a generous living room with a

The menacing-looking Misha all-terrain vehicle was designed specifically as a family car for use in the harsh Siberian climate. The slightly asymmetric body exists so the driver has a little more room to operate comfortably and so passengers can have a unique riding experience from seat-to-seat. Powered by four independent electric motors located in each wheel, Misha also features tires inspired by bear claws that have been adapted to grip the most treacherous of terrain.Designer: Alekseev Andr

As a proud iPad owner, I am disappointed to say I have yet to find a cover that I really love. I’m a purist at heart (and maybe even a little picky), so I like to hold the bare iPad & feel the aluminum back & overall thinness. The Smart Stand Sleeve is probably the closest thing I’ll find to what I want. It uses an ingenious folding technique & magnets to transform the case from a soft, protecting sleeve  (that isn’t bound to the iPad) into an angled stand for work
