Architectural photographer Roland Halbe has sent us his photos of an archeological museum in Cordoba, Spain, designed by Nieto Sobejano Arquitectos. The architects recessed much of the building below ground level so as to not impose on the surrounding landscape of the Cordoba Hills. The centre is located at the site of the Moorish city of Madinat Al Zahra. Photographs are by Roland Halbe and used with permission. Please refer to our copyright notice. In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Guggenheim Museum’s Frank Lloyd Wright-designed building, New York City’s newest restaurant The Wright has opened to the public. In less than three months, construction will begin on Nabito Architects’ Domus Aquae. The project is a thermal complex club that is situated next to the Roman Colosseum. The project will use an existing structure and include a restaurant, swimming area and thermal baths. The form was derived after studying and analyzing maps, plans and drawings of the Old Roman Termae. Conceived by Yoann Henry Yvon, the “Teknibank” is a mobile bank concept that instead of sitting and waiting in one place follows its customers to increase the services. Featuring a prefabricated kiosk made on acrylic colored plates, the mobile bank by the Italian designer comprises a reception desk and small seats as a waiting room.
