Devised by Zhenwei You, the “B-Touch” is a touchscreen phone that doubles as a book reader for the blind. Perhaps, there have been a host of cell phones made for the blind and we’ve seen them around, but this one is based on the touchscreen technology for the blind and thereby uses a touchscreen display for Braille. Including voice systems and programs to function as a phone, the B-Touch also supports a system for navigation along a book reader and an object recognizer. So we also have a book reading facilitator in the phone for the visually challenged, a great introduction never seen before in a mobile phone. Check out the video after the jump.
