You publish your discoveries
Users are free to publish a story they have found on the web. Go to SUBMIT A NEW STORY and start by giving the original URL of the story. Next steps are described there and are very easy to follow.
When you decide to publish a new story, please remember that few guidelines :
- Quality content: Is your story relevant to the site? Means: does it talk about design, architecture or art ?
- Link Directly to the Source: Give a real link to the original story, it gives a backlink to the owner of the story and help promote is site and work. Readers would like to visit the site where the story is published first to get more informations and details.
- Search First: Avoid duplicate submissions by searching to make sure someone else has not submitted the story already.
- Be Descriptive: You may be the story editor, so explain what it is and why it is cool.
Some stories might be deleted, because we are fighting spam. Quality is our primary concern, we wish to provide a service where users can find interesting content.
New stories are queued for review and vote
New stories go to UPCOMING NEWS. Users can review them, make comments, discuss.
Now, it's time for users to vote. Beside all stories title, do you see the red number with the "vote" word? Click on "vote" to add your vote to the story, the number give you how many votes. When a story gain 4 votes it is pushed to design.fr's home page with all others PUBLISHED NEWS
Sometimes we decide to take a good story, with less than 4 votes and to publish it at homepage. Just because the story seems to be cool. It's an arbitrary decision, we are alone to decide, we do not accept money or gifts for your story to be promoted. Try to send us a message, saying design.fr is great, amazing, innovative and more, it might work ;-)
The easier way for your story to be promoted to design.fr's homepage is to vote for it and ask your friends to vote too.
Best stories are promoted
Users vote for prefered stories. With a lot of votes stories gain visibility:
- they are published at homepage
- they are classified in categories
- pushed to social medias : Twitter, Facebook, FriendFeed
