The eccentric design of the gadget would make you wonder if it is a stand, a case or a speaker system. Actually, a cool combination of all three, christened as the “B&O Play Beoplay A3″ efficiently turns your iPad into a mini-television or media center. It’s an iPad housing packed with adaptive stereo speaker technology and three speakers to produce beefy stereo sound impact, unaffected by the device’s orientation.
The “stable wedge” design lets you use it in portrait, landscape or even slant it on its back for typing purpose. The rationale behind its design was to give a new life to your “lying around” older iPad so that you can simply put it on your table and watch TV with best audio quality or use Skype and likewise.
However, you got to be little cautious before handing it over to little kids at your home because it might produce loud music instantly. The gadget has got its own internal battery, which runs independent of your iPad’s battery and lasts up to eight hours when fully charged. It can also be used with a power cable and when being charged the iPad also gets charged itself.
The gadget will hit the B&O shops in May with the price tag of £449. Initially, only black version will be available but plans are being made to produce white later in the year.
