Reducing size of modern urban apartments has posed the challenge to develop minimal or utility furniture to contemporary designers. Addressing the issue, Brazilian Design Studio Baíta Design has come up with a portable sofa that splits into different small profiles for easy storage as well as transportation. Entitled the “Slide Sofa,” the compact sofa, as depicted by its name, slides five profiles one into another to take its form. The profiles are made in anodized aluminum that not only makes it lightweight but ensures durability as well. When not in use, you may simply collapse the sofa into flat profiles that can you may bundle to be placed in a corner. You may pick one from a variety of colors to match the decor of your living place.
