Krawitz Architecture projected this unique house with a second skin made with bamboo in Bessancourt, near Paris, France. Cadaval & Sola-Morales projected a vernacular dry stone house in the Pyrenees with the aim to transform it into a comfortable and utilitarian second residence. Located just outside of Paris, Bigoni-Mortemard Architectes projected the seven houses like a small medina around an alley. Four of the houses have their living rooms on the second floor, connected to the sky through a series of terraces leading onto the roof, where a small kitchen has been placed. Runner-up at the International Human Powered Vehicles Competition, the “Amphibike” as indicated by its name is an amphibious vehicle that harnesses human energy to allow an eco-friendly drive. Conceived by designer Andreu Carulla, the quad-based human powered vehicle moves on the road and beach sand as well as water with equal efficiency, enhancing the driving experience of the rider. Architect Eduardo Trigo de Sousa designed, in collaboration with ComA Architecture and Design, a house marked by the nature in Palmela, Portugal. The house flows naturally soaked in the terrain and assumes, in the end, in the great living room window, it’s domination above the visitors.
