LIONEL ANDREW SUTTIE
INDUSTRIAL DESIGNER
Influential Australian industrial designer Lionel Suttie was instrumental in developing the industrial design profession in Australia through out the 1960s and 1970s. He was a founding member of the Industrial Design Institute of Australia (now the Design Institute of Australia) and his work included many consumer products for Nylex Plastics and PX Plastics, some of which are now collectors items.

Lionel was an alumnus of and lecturer at RMIT University in Melbourne where he taught the likes of Michael Simcoe (Holden & GM) and Mark Armstrong (Blue Sky Design, Sydney).
