Design covers more than the aesthetics. It takes into account usability, accessibility and information architecture. Talking about a cell phone, we all wish to have a smartphone fully equipped with latest technology, a big screen, good voice quality and so on. Max Borhof, a designer from Germany has come up with a very creative handset which could be folded after use. It looks somewhat like an HTC device with a nice edge to edge display flaunting its broad screen but with an additional advantage of being getting folded.
The compact Concept 9 cellphone has a thickness of 7.5mm and 1080 pixels display. The idea takes into account the future technologies using ultra flexible screens. The most remarkable fact about the cellphone is that despite of the foldable feature it offers edge to edge screen without any hinge where it flexes. The style in which it opens up after folding would surely remind you of a makeup kit.
The device features interesting ways of connecting and disconnecting the call via its virtual keys system that takes a bit of its screen space. It comes with a very influencing dock area on the screen that makes it look like the HTC Sense experience of the future. This idea when realized into practicality would surely bring a boom to the cellphone industry.
