Our client is the outdoor contract furniture industry leader in design and manufacturing dedicated to enriching outdoor spaces. They are looking for a talented senior designer who is energetic, ambitious, and collaborative, understands the big picture as well as the details, and is interested in learning the outdoor furniture industry. The potential is to grow into a management and leadership role in design.

The senior designer will produce innovative, excellent products and systems, which define the future of the industry. She/he will work on a cross-functional product development team and will work with outside architects and designers who are stars in their fields, as well as internal engineers and shop people, to achieve the WOW factor and ensure design intent. Additionally, the senior designer will work closely with sales and marketing and consult on location for photo shoots for product literature.

Specific Skills

Requirements:
•10+ years of experience designing products, systems, environments requiring understanding of structure, connections and materials
•Fluency in CAD (company uses Solidworks and Hypershot)
•Direct communication style and excellent collaboration skills
•Strong design and project management skills
•Passion for design
•A quick and eager learner
