Description
The Industrial Designer/3D Artist will work directly with an award winning marketing and design team to produce new product visualization and animations based on cutting edge new products for an array of leading retailers. This candidate will have the opportunity to experience both macro and micro processes involved in the development of furniture products. Will also have the opportunity to work closely with international manufacturers on new product development.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
Ability to create working animations detailing specific product assemblies, exploded diagrams, and procedures for a consumer end user.
Ability to composite 3D renderings and produce animation playback across multiple viewing platforms using Adobe After-Effects.
Strong Working knowledge of typical Adobe Suite products: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
Strong multi-tasking skills, ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects at one time with limited supervision and from within a fast-paced work environment with tight deadlines.
Work directly with marketing and design on new product development including new concept design, visualization, and post-production assembly using 3D modeling and animation as a presentation medium
Adaptable, personable, and flexible personality that will synergize well with a fast paced, cutting edge furniture design company.
Specific Skills
1-4+ Years of Experience
Bachelors Degree in related field (preferably Industrial Design and/or 3D Arts)
but also including:
o 3D/Digital Arts, Animation
Strong Working knowledge of 3D Studio Max (vers. 8+) including VRay for lighting and texturing (photorealism), and using Max for animation purposes
