Description
Ashcraft Design consults with a range of international consumer product companies to transform the culture of consumer behavior into compelling product experiences that connect consumers to brands.
We are interviewing for an industrial designer with proven international consumer product design experience to join our team. The candidate must have a portfolio that demonstrates a high level of product design excellence, analytical and superior conceptual design skills. The designer will be expected to contribute at every level of the product creation process. He/She will gather user-insights, analyze trend data, ascertain marketing and engineering criteria, have a proficient knowledge of materials and processes and manage projects from concept to production. The designer must be capable of handling high profile design programs and clients. This position requires the skills to work in a team environment.
Specific Skills
Qualifications include: A Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, a minimum of 2 years consumer product design experience. The designer must be able to demonstrate a high level of proficiency in sketching, Illustrator, Photoshop and 3D software such as SolidWorks and HyperShot preferred. The candidate must have strong writing and verbal communications skills required to formulate and communicate compelling design strategies to senior business executives. A U.S. Social Security Number and US work visa are required for non-U.S. citizens.
