Chariot Chair 1 Playful and Multi functional Chair Design by Adam Molnar: Chairiot

Ádám Molnár, student at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design in Hungary sent us an e-mail presenting a clever design that combines an armchair for comfortable reading and a rocking chair that can be easily moved from one place to another. The so-called Chairiot has an integrated wheel system which provides the rocking chair function, but fixed in the two wing positions it makes a comfy armchair or a desk chair, too. Another strong advantage of the project is its retractable feature- with a minimum amount of effort, the chair can be packed up for storage. Its appearance is not strikingly elegant, yet the design has a well defined personality. The wheels and legs contribute to a playful appearance, one that suits the colorful versions better than the black ones. How would you comment on this chair design by student Ádám Molnár?
