A growing family in São Paulo, Brazil, hired Pascali Semerdjian Arquitetos to design a fun home that was a play space for the children, while also being a place to host parties and events. Spanning 247 square meters (2658 square feet), the Toy House MM01 sits behind a discrete entrance that leads to a staircase where visitors choose between three levels.
The lower level houses a large TV room with a massive, colorful, geometric sofa for video games and movie watching. The minimalist kitchen and dining room are connected for easy entertainment.
Floor-to-ceiling sliding doors connect the outdoor space with the interior making it appear even larger.
A slide was built underneath the stainless steel staircase that’s located at the back of the house.
A red rope bridge connects the house to an observation tower while passing over the garden area that gives the appearance of a small jungle.
The upper floor is built to be set up in different configurations based on what the family needs. Blinds and shutters were built into the metal frame allowing for flexible spaces so the space can expand or be reduced.
